What is Google Local Inventory ads (LIA)?

The Google Local Inventory ads (LIA) showcase useful information pertaining to brick-&-mortar stores and products to buyers who are close to a store’s physical location. This includes the details such as:

  • In-store inventory
  • On-going Promotions
  • Directions
  • Store hours
  • Contact information

When a shopper makes a product search on Google and that desired product is in stock at a nearby location, they may be served a Local Inventory ad, along with the “in-store” label.

When a shopper clicks the ad, he is taken to the Local Storefront page. This showcase the product that was searched along with the information about the physical store.

This information is sufficient to turn a “searcher” into an “in-store visitor.” Many physical store retailers have experienced this success as they were able to achieve a 150% higher footfall rate with Google Local Inventory ads compared to other product listing ads.

“We are seeing a bump in-store sales and are pleased with the results online as well.  We would like to increase our budget for advertising.”
